I was lucky enough to grow up in a family of enthusiastic travellers. My parents owned a travel agency and at a young age I would sit and examine those travel brochures with a keen interest. At ten years old I had already started my own bucket list. So following in their footsteps I commenced my working life in the travel industry and after visiting much of the world before the age of 21, discovered I had a fascination for all people and the diversity in the way we all think and live.
Writing and Publishing
When taking a 9 year break from the paid workforce to raise my children, I discovered a hidden talent for writing and editing. English had always been my strong subject at school and I realised why. A marriage breakdown led me back into the workforce where I successfully followed opportunities which took me down this path. I became more knowledgeable in different aspects of life through writing and editing magazine stories. Initially this was for a parenting magazine, then for a spiritual magazine and also a community publication which serviced the river suburbs of Brisbane. During this time I interviewed and was exposed to people of many walks of life in the quest for an interesting story. I also witnessed hardship and extraordinary strength from individuals affected by the 2011 Brisbane floods, listening to many inspiring stories.
Apart from what I observed from these experiences, I also learned from my own personal challenges and hardships that adversity is an opportunity for personal growth. I had met inspiring people who lost everything, but refused to give up. I gained the appreciation that everything life throws at us is purely an opportunity to improve. We are only limited by our beliefs, so I became determined to learn more about how to change them for good. A fire was ignited inside me.
Australian Bush Flower Essences Training with Ian White
I turned to many inspiring authors and thought leaders for help and understanding. I read their books and attended their workshops. All these wonderful people contributed to my own growth and taught me how to overcome my negative thought patterns and issues. Once I discovered how effective this was, I became determined to experience and study healing modalities that did not involve the use of pharmaceutical drugs so that I could treat the root causes of people’s problems rather than just treating a symptom. I trained and became a practitioner of Australian Bush Flower Essences.
These wonderful essences helped me and many others but I soon realised that not everyone understands the origins of their trauma and pain. This is where my interest in the unconscious mind began and so I studied hypnotherapy. I also knew that addictions sometimes developed as a coping mechanism when problems were not properly addressed. Hypnotherapy attracted me because I liked the idea of a client being able to heal themselves, with the practitioner acting as the facilitator. It seemed the outcome would be more successful if the client made a commitment to their own healing. For this reason I also became a practitioner and coach of Neuro Linguistic Programming and Time Line Therapy.
Past Life Regression Training with Dr Brian Weiss
After treating my clients for stress, weight issues, smoking addiction, phobias and performance problems, I decided to study Past Life Regression Therapy, something that had interested me all my life. I went to New York to study with the eminent Dr Brian Weiss, who is a leader in this field, and have found that the root of many problems are firmly entrenched in previous incarnations and in some cases, this method is the most effective healing modality there is. Past Life Regression is my calling and now my specialty. I am committed to helping others understand themselves in this life by examining and healing issues that began in their previous lives, in order to gain the peace, healing and happiness that everyone deserves.
My journey continues and I will never give up on learning new ways to help people and heal the planet. I have been fortunate to discover a new mentor, Jeffrey Slayter, who has helped me immeasurably to understand more about the contribution we can all make to working with our human family to improve lives. He has given me the tools and the confidence to move forward and answer my true calling. I know that my work will benefit from his input and I will seek knowledge and wisdom as long as I'm around this time, in order to serve my clients the best way I can.
